About Vistrata

“Vistrata” is derived from two words: “Vista ”, meaning a distant view through or along an opening; and “Strata”, which is one of a series of layers or gradations in an ordered system.

To me, Vistrata is about insight and experience that is best served when shared with others. It also happens to be a brand I developed as part of a creative outlet during an introspective time after deciding to leave my place of employment around the close of the dot bomb era.

Three years and two start-ups later, James Clark and I partnered to create Room 214, a search marketing and social media agency. After building a sweet team of people, we launched the Capture the Conversation blog, and spun off a separate company, RSSready, to further develop and support our social media software, now called Post Zinger.
